1792 Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey
1792 Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey
1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which was named after the year that Kentucky achieved statehood in the United States, earned the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition in 2011 and earned a score of 95 points — the same as Pappy Van Winkle's 23 Year Old Bourbon — at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012.
Kentucky- This particular Bourbon was bottled to honor the year when Kentucky became a state (1792). Created using a special "high rye" formula from 1792 and the union of premium barrels. A traditional harmony of wood and spice leads to a protracted dry finish.
So while 1792 Small Batch Bourbon feels new(ish) and technically hit the whiskey scene after 2009 when the Sazerac Company purchased Barton 1792 Distillery and changed the name of Ridgemont Reserve to 1792 Small Batch, the 1792 Small Batch Bourbon mash bill has been around as long as Ridgewood Reserve came to life in the early 2000s.
